The recent October Nor’easter required the Wayland Public Safety Departments to utilize the Swiftreach Reverse 911 system several times. Feedback from residents has been positive. However, not all residents received the calls.
To address this issue, a link has been added to the Police Department page of the town’s website, which will allow residents to enter and edit their contact information.
We recommend that residents add a mobile phone or work number to the database. To enter your information, go to the Wayland Police Department website and click on the Swiftreach 911 box at the bottom of the page. Fill out all the required fields. The information will then be reviewed and added to the system call list.
We will continue to update the system to provide the community the best possible emergency notification services.
